Hazel's Joey fell out!

These are the last of the pictures that I have.  😞  As sad as it is that I don't have more to share with you, I am so thankful to be caught up on editing, and the last time I went there was a day I'll remember for a long time!  It was that day that I was able to see Sukari, the baby giraffe, for her first time out of the barn and in the pasture.  On that day, I also witness Hazel's joey fall out of her pouch.  It was so amazing to see such a tiny joey, but it was even more awesome because Hazel had been much more particular than the other moms about keeping her joey tucked away.  The zookeepers were aware that Hazel's joey had fallen out before, but they had been unable to get to it before it climbed back into it's mom's pouch.  This meant that the zookeepers still had been unable to determine the sex of the joey.  Thanks to me being at the right place, at the right time, I was able to capture these images which have helped them determine that Hazel's joey is a little girl!  Isn't she so adorable?!?!  😍

Kangaroo with Joey

I'm almost done posting all of my pictures from this past season at the zoo.  I just have pictures for today and tomorrow.  It feels so weird to not have going to the zoo in my schedule anymore, but I am grateful for the time to get caught up on other things I've neglected.  I've felt so privileged that I have been able to go to the zoo just about once a week from the beginning to the end of their season this year.  I've also really enjoyed watching these little joeys getting bigger and bigger!  😍

More Baby Giraffe

It's crazy to me that something so big can be just a baby!  Sukari was SO cute!  I was freaking out when I saw her.  I mean, I had planned that trip to the zoo that day with the expectation that I might see her.  That was such a great day!

Baby Giraffe!

I was able to see the baby giraffe!!!  AHHHH!!!  Her name is Sukari and she was about 6 weeks old when I saw her.  Of course these pictures loaded in the opposite order, so you'll see her get farther away as you scroll through them.  😂

Kangaroos with Joeys

These posted in the opposite order.  I still haven't figured out why that happens sometimes.  Oh well.  It's not a big deal.  Anyways, these first few pictures are of Molly and her little boy.
