Big Cats

 This clouded leopard is not Raury.  This is a new guy!  His name is Sanji and he is only 10 months old!  He is currently about the same size as Raury, which is about 30 lbs, but while she is 2 years old and full grown, he will double in size.  Of the big cats, clouded leopards have the biggest size difference between males and females.  I hope I am able to witness Raury and Sanji when they are introduced to each other!  For now, they are letting Sanji get used to his new home without Raury.  He is still pretty clumsy like a puppy.  😊

Feathered Friends

I decided to take some pictures of the wildlife that I typically ignore, so here is a collection I have called feather friends.  It took me many tries to get a good picture of the buff-crested bustard.  That little bugger is fast!  😁

Orangutan, Gibbon, and Red Panda

I feel like the way Asmara is staring at this piece of celery is just like every child whose mom has told them they have to eat their veggies, even if they don't really like them.  😂

Lioness

I think it's pretty clear that Ina is actually in charge.  Haha! 

Otters

These otters are a hoot!  This one was playing with something he found.  I could have watched him play for hours!  But he stopped and got out of the pool to dry off and relax.  😊 

Banded Mongoose Babies

These babies are getting much bigger and much calmer.  They are definitely easier to photograph.  😁

 

Sitatunga Baby!!

There is a brand new little sitatunga baby and I was SO happy I was able to see it!  When it's laying down, you can barely see it above the grass.  I can't wait to see this little one grow up!  

Hyena

 This guy was having so much fun playing in the pool!  It was so interesting watching him.  He also seemed interested in watching me.  There was no one else around.  Just me and this guy.

Lion and Lioness

 I LOVE that there's a story that plays out in these pictures.  It starts with Bahati walking up to Ina as she's drinking.  It seems he's done something that he finds funny but that she finds annoying.  He finally wanders away sad while she seems grateful that he's finally gone and left her alone.  Does anyone else see this story or am I crazy??!  😂
