African Journey

 As much as I love heading to the zoo on a whim, it is also nice when I can go with friends and family!  On this day, I met up with my sister and nieces for a couple hours.  We didn't see very much of the zoo since we went over lunchtime and the girls were eating while walking, but we had a great time!

Under The Sea

 I love adding zoo trips into my weekly schedule.  It is a bit more difficult to fit it in since I don't have as much flexibility in my schedule the way I used to.  The weather being so inconsistent also makes it difficult to plan ahead.  I'm excited to see more and more of the animals!

Clouded Leopards and Kangaroos

The weather has been pretty up and down so for the zoo, many animals have been kept inside until it stays warmer.  I was SO excited to see Raury and Sanji!  And to see them together was so neat!!  

Kangaroos and Goats

 I was excited to see the joeys that were born last season.  They are so big now!  I wish I could have watched them grow up more, but that's okay.  I enjoyed meeting all the new goats!  They are so cute!  And they are definitely more rowdy than the old ones we had.

Saki Monkeys and More

 I was happy to see that the Saki monkeys got moved.  They were difficult to photograph in the enclosure they had been in because of reflections.  However, I am wondering where the lemurs are now...  Hopefully I can find that out soon.  😊

The Zoo is OPEN!

The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo opened up on Thursday for a members-only preview day before opening to the public on Saturday.  I had no intention of going because I didn't think I could fit it in my schedule.  I had actually forgotten about it, but I got an email that reminded me, and I realized that I had a bit of time, so I just went.  I am so glad it worked out!  I love our zoo!
