I'm almost done with the pictures from our trip to the Columbus Zoo, so I'm dumping all the random ones together that I didn't know how to categorize. I don't think this was my first time seeing an Okapi, but I was still surprised by it. It definitely just such a unique animal!
When we got to where these Mandrills were, no one else was around, so we were able to stay and watch them for a while. I couldn't get over how unique and colorful they are! They are beautiful creatures!
This pair of mothers were separated from the others as they groomed and fed their babies. It was sweet watching them care for their young.
I had a difficult time getting pictures of the gorillas because the shear number of people. There was actually a little baby that I never even got a picture of. There was a crowd of people that wouldn't move along and then others cut in ahead of me meaning that even though I waited for a while, I gave up and never saw the baby.
I really love watching monkeys! Sometimes they are difficult to photograph because they are so capable of jumping around too fast for me to keep up with them. That was the case with the baby Bonobo. He was so cute but very hard to photograph!
I was a bit bummed that I couldn't get a better picture of the Koala, but as I looked at the pictures I took on my camera screen, I realized there was a second Koala that I didn't see in person. So cute!
