I was so incredibly excited to see snow leopards!! I think we walked by them like 3 times. They were mostly sleeping, but I was thrilled to catch a glimpse of one getting up to move to a new sleeping spot. Unfortunately, the sun was shinning on the bars of their enclosure so these are the best pictures I have.
Y'all, I absolutely loved seeing the Capybara! He looked SO fluffy and I just wanted to give him a hug. Also, I adore how derpy the meerkats look. I mean, they just don't seem to have a clue what's going on around them and I love that. Hah!
I got chills seeing this old chimpanzee. I could tell he's seen so much in his life. I could sense his intelligence and understanding. To be honest, it kinda freaked me out a bit. Haha!
I was glad we waited for the lions to be out, but we almost didn't because was not at all close to the 10 minutes we were told. I can't remember exactly but I think we waited 20-30 minutes. I was definitely struggling to be patient. I gotta say, I was laughing when I saw this lion come waltzing out. I think that is the fattest lion I've ever seen. 😂
When we got to the lion enclosure, we were told they weren't out yet but would be in about 10 minutes. We decided to wait since it wasn't supposed to be a long wait. In the meantime, I kept my eye on these Mountain Bongos and the Southern Ground Hornbill that were nearby. The hornbill seemed to be on a mission with that clump of dirt he had. Haha!
