Greater Kudu

I had to look up what these were because my best guess was some sort of antelope.  They are apparently called Greater Kudu.  I was enjoying watching the little ones when suddenly a big male with quite a rack on him appeared.  Also, I just need y'all to know that these were very difficult to photograph because the only way to view them was through a wooden privacy fence that had some screens cut out of.  But the viewing spots were at awkward heights so I was either on tippy toes or knelling.  I definitely got weird looks from people passing by.  But it was worth it.

Arctic Fox and Birds

Y'all, I have to admit that one of my only disappointments from this day was that there were two arctic foxes and both were sleeping and I could only get an angle to photograph one.  However, this precious little guy did pop his head up which just blessed my heart so much!  I mean, look at how cute he is!!

Giraffe and Rhino

I really enjoyed watching the Rhinoceros.  Based on where they were in their enclosure and how it was built, I felt like they were very close to me.  It was strange being so close to something so big and ancient feeling.  I spent a while just being in their presence and not bothering to take pictures.

Zebra and Gazelle

I don't know what these deer like things are but they were fun to watch!  There was something about the way they walked around that was silly and entertaining to me.  I had to know and didn't want to leave anyone wondering so I looked it up and these are called Addra Gazelle.

Orangutans

This huge old guy was all by himself and came right up to the glass to sit in the sun while he picked at his face.  I watched him for a bit and tried to get a selfie with him.  I'm pretty sure it didn't happen because some people were approaching and I got self-conscious and didn't do it.  Hahaha!
