I always enjoy when I can see animals that I don't typically get to see since the Fort Wayne Zoo doesn't have them. For example, we don't have rhinos and kolas, so I wanted to be sure that we spent some extra time watching these guys. I remember many years ago when we were visiting the Cleveland Zoo, one of the Kolas had a baby which I have pictures of. We weren't that lucky this time to see any babies, but it was still neat to see these cute little guys!
I thoroughly enjoyed the tiger enclosures and seeing this big pretty guy. He was so sleepy, but he was so close to us. I was definitely impressed by how big he was.
If you've been following me for any amount of time, you are probably aware that big cats like leopards are my favorite animals. I love whenever I can see them, especially if they are doing anything other than sleeping. I was thrilled to see this leopard eating some bones it was given. I stayed and watched for a while. It was so cool!
I always get so excited to see wolves because I love them! Unfortunately they were hard to see and not active at all, which wasn't surprising, but I still had hoped that they would get up and move around more than they did.
