Giraffes and Wolves

 I always get so excited to see wolves because I love them!  Unfortunately they were hard to see and not active at all, which wasn't surprising, but I still had hoped that they would get up and move around more than they did.  

Birds and Ducks

 I liked the pretty ducks.  Joe and I were both really impressed with the enclosure for the bald eagle.  We were basically inside with it.  It was so close with nothing really between us!  So cool!

Bears

 Aren't these bears so cute?!?!  I loved seeing the one sleeping up high in it's hammock.  I was a bit sad that we didn't see the grizzly or black bears, but we enjoyed watching the other bears.

Elephants!

 Every summer, Joe and I go on a trip to visit a zoo.  Sometimes it is one we've never been to before, but sometimes it's one we haven't been to in a while.  This year, we chose to go to the Cleveland Zoo, which we have previously been to, but I was so excited to be back.  I didn't recognize anything since it had been so long (I think 10 years).  We had a lovely time with beautiful weather.  There was rain in the forecast, but every time we checked it was supposed to start later.  It started lightly sprinkling when we were wrapping up.  On the way out, I decided to wander through the gift shop (although I had no intention of buying anything) and then as we left, I realized I should go to the bathroom.  When I came out of the bathroom, it was pouring rain.  I walked as quickly as I could to the car getting pretty dang wet by the time I got inside and quickly drove to pick up Joe who was soaked.

I liked that as soon as we got through the entrance to the zoo, we very quickly saw the elephants.  The keepers had them pass from one area to another and then had them doing tricks for treats.  It was interesting to watch.
