All by Herself

I don't think I will ever get used to seeing Ina all by herself without Bill.  However, I have to say that she is looking very regal and beautiful!  :)  Happy Caturday!  :)

Big and Small Birds

This little bird was being camera shy and tried to hide behind a stick so I couldn't see him.  :)  I know I said the other day that I generally don't like big birds, but I love seeing this black crane!  When the light catches his feathers, then you see a rainbow of colors!!  So pretty!  :)

Monkeys

I like this set of photographs because it shows monkeys being monkeys, but not in the way that we normally think of.  I don't know if it was the heat or what, but these monkeys were content to just sit around.  :)

Bat-Eared Fox

I love the Bat-Eared foxes at the zoo!  They are so cute and their ears are so big!  Normally when I see them, they are sleeping.  This time I saw this guy wandering around as if he were looking for a snack.  :)

Big Birds

I generally don't really like birds that are big.  Sometimes they are pretty, but in the case of this ostrich, I tend not to look twice.  There is something about them that kinda creeps me out.  But every once in a while, my curiosity and love for animals takes over and I find myself observing this weird bird.   :)

Swamp Monkeys

This little swamp monkey isn't very little anymore!  He has grown so much!  I love how playful he still is!  I really enjoy watching him run around and tackle the other monkeys.  :)  I also enjoyed watching him as he sat there by himself to play with something that was on his hand.  :)

Missing Bill

I don't think I said anything at the time, but Bill, the big, beautiful lion passed away earlier this year from cancer.  :(  These are pictures from last year of Bill and Ina together.  They were often seen sun bathing next to each other.  I miss seeing Bill there, and I am sure Ina misses him a lot too.  :(

Baby Giraffe Kisses

I am clearly on a giraffe kick this week!  Haha!  I really liked watching this little baby try to reach his mamma for kisses!  :)

Monkeys

I enjoy seeing the variety of monkeys that the zoo has!  They are all entertaining to watch!  I especially like the little Colobus Monkey.  He's grown a lot since I first saw him last year!  He looks like a miniature adult now.  :)

Red Panda

I really love Red Pandas!  They are just so cute!  This one was being pretty lazy until he spotted some yummy good worth getting.  He made his way through the maze of branches until he got to the treats!  He munched for quite a while and was still eating when I left.  :)
