Gibbons, Squirrels, and Lemur

Such furry, cute animals!  The squirrels had a couple more babies fairly recently.  I think that picture is a parent and baby, but I don't know for sure.

Birds

I have no idea what that last bird is.  I think it looks like a fancy chicken.  😂  But seriously, how weird and cool are those feathers???!!

Big Cats

Happy Caturday from Ina, Thor, and um... hold on while I check... Samson!  These are some of my favorite animals at the zoo!  I rarely get to see Thor because he's actually a new(ish) daddy!  I can't wait to see those little lynx babies!!!  

Amur Leopard

THE ZOO GOT ANOTHER AMUR LEOPARD!!!!  If you can't tell, I'm SO excited!  I found out this guy is just over a year old.  Unfortunately, we will only have him for this zoo season and then he is being sent off somewhere else to be with a female, probably to breed.  I REALLY hope I can continue to get good pictures of him in the short time we have left with him!  So far, he always seems to just be pacing in the back.

Cattle Egret and Straw-Necked Ibis

Y'all should be proud of me for actually looking the names of these birds up instead of just throwing birds as the post title.  😂  Also, I'm pretty sure no one ever looks at this blog, so I don't even know who the y'all is referring to.  😂😂😂  That's okay though.  This blog is more about me having a space to organize and back-up my pictures.  I do pick my favorites from here to share on social media.  And eventually, I will pick the best to put them up on my website for anyone interested in purchasing prints.  😊

Kangaroos

I had some extra time so I headed over to see the kangaroos.  They were all lounging around.  I had the place to myself except for an obviously bored zoo worker whose job was presumably to make sure guests stay on the path and away from the kangaroos.  She said she's interested in photography, so we chatted about gear for a bit.  😊

Swamp Monkey, Colobus Monkey, and Prairie Dog

These monkeys are enjoying a relaxing morning of grooming themselves and snacking.  I also finally spotted a little prairie dog out of his hole to eat.

Birds

I really don't know what this stork was doing, but my neck hurts just looking at that picture!  Haha!

Lioness

Isn't Ina so pretty??!!  Even when she is laying down, she makes me feel so small when she looks right at me.

Fish and Sharks

I was going to spend longer taking pictures of these fish and sharks, but I suddenly remembered that I needed to be home for a service call at the house.  Sometimes being an adult sucks, especially when I would rather hangout at the zoo.  Hahahaha!
