Hyena, Bat-Eared Fox, and Serval

I really enjoy getting to the zoo in the morning before it's gotten too hot.  The animals are pretty active still, especially as some of them have just been fed.  

Serval and Lion

Bahati, the lion, is looking more and more regal each year!  His mane looks full and fabulous!  He turned 6 years old last Tuesday.  😊

Random

This season I am trying to be more creative in the pictures I take.  Of course I love when I can react and capture a fun, special moments, but I also am being more intentional to be proactive and create the photographs I want.  I've been looking for new angles and trying to view everything in a fresh, new way, even though I have been to the zoo SO many times.  

Sitatunga and Hyena

This group of sitatunga keeps growing!  I especially enjoy seeing the littlest one!!

Birds and Mice

I absolutely love spotting new birds in this domed jungle!  And of course, I find it so amusing photographing the mice that are EVERYWHERE!

Red Panda and Orangutan

I like this new guy, Oolong.  He always seems to be up and about when I stop by to see him and Anne.  And I know this is the third time I've said this, but I want these two to make more zoo babies.  😁  I love red pandas!

Clouded Leopard

Raury, the clouded leopard is currently my favorite animal at the zoo.  She's GORGEOUS!  😍

Fish

I love going to the aquarium at the beginning of the season because it is always the cleanest.  On this day, it was very clear, but it felt too crowded so I didn't stay long.  I hope next time I head over that way that I get a bit more time to myself with the sea life.

Otters and Sea Lions

The zoo has 3 otters now!!!  A new otter named Meeko has joined brothers Warrick and Kramer.  I really hope Meeko is a girl and that they make more zoo babies!!
