Random

I realize these animals don't make much sense grouped together like this, but these are the last of the pictures I have from this trip and I wanted to post them.  😊

Serval and Porcupine

I caught the Serval taking a bath.  He left his tongue hanging out after he was done.  😂  I am SO happy that I finally got pictures of the porcupines!  They were both actually up and walking around!  There weren't many people nearby so I had plenty of space to move around to find the perfect spot without a terrible reflection on the glass.

Banded Mongoose Babies!

Spotting babies at the zoo and having the opportunity to watch them grow is another reason I love going to the zoo so often.  These baby banded mongoose were very difficult to photograph because of how much they almost constantly ran around.  They are SO cute!

Spotted Hyenas

One of the reasons I never get tired of going to the zoo so often is that I never know what I'll witness.  On this morning, I witnessed these hyena sisters playing in the water for the first time.  Apparently the staff felt that they girls were timid of their deep pool and decided to lower the water level significantly and the girls were SO happy!  It was awesome to see everyone's excitement and to watch the girls play in the little pool!

Otters

I found out that this is a group of males, so it looks like there won't be babies in the future.  😔  But it is so awesome to see how well this group has bonded!  They LOVE being together, especially to play!  And I LOVE watching them play!  😊

Lions and Leopard

These big cats were all happy that they could do what they do best, which is a whole lot of nothing!  😂   But seriously, I enjoy watching these beautiful cats, even when they aren't really doing much.

Random

My love for animals is undeniable.  I often find myself mesmerized not only by the uniqueness found in one species compared to another species, but also in the uniqueness of individual animals with their own personalities.  I feel spoiled and blessed that I have the opportunity to go to a zoo so frequently to witness a fraction of God's amazing creation in person.

Canada Lynx

I caught the tail end of the Lynx getting fed.  They were all scrambling to get as much food as possible.  It was pretty neat to watch!  I especially like the second picture where you can see 3 out of the 4 Lynx.

Lions

Bahati and Ina got to enjoy a refreshing ice treat on this very hot day.  Although based on these pictures, it looks like Ina didn't want to share.  😂

White-Faced Saki Monkey

At first glance, this White-Faced Saki Monkey looks surprised by something, but really he is just chewing with his mouth open.  He clearly doesn't have any manners.  Do you think that's why his buddy looks upset??  😂
