Kangaroos and Joeys

So Blogger loads all my pictures in reverse order.  I don't know why.  I also don't have the patience to correct them.  So as you scroll, you are going back in time in terms of the events as they happened.  Hahaha!  Anyways, I was SO excited to see these little joey noses peeking out from their pouches.

Banded Mongoose Babies

I'm really enjoying watching these little guys grow up!  The adults seem a bit overwhelmed trying to keep the 5 babies in line.  There are constant squabbles and lots of running and chasing.

Birds

This new blogger is starting to make a bit more sense.  Still a bit wonky, but we'll get there.  Haha!  I'm not sure what this first bird is.  I honestly have always walked past this enclosure.  It's set off a bit from the main path.  There's often lots of kids in the area because of a car they can play on.  But on this day, I was completely by myself, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to take a peek over there.  This guy was peeking back at me.  😊  Also, I just want to point out that the penguins in the last picture kinda reflect my mood today.  Anyone else thinking the same thing?  😂

Big Cats

So blogger has been trying to push an update on me.  I'm finally agreeing to it.  Haha!  Still trying to figure it out.  Here's some big cats to take away the frustrations I'm feeling.  Hahaha!

Kangaroos with Joeys

I learned that there are 5 joeys!  3 of them are much older than the other two.  Needless to say, I'll be spending much more time with these kangaroos, in an effort to see some babies!  Today I saw some movement in the pouches, and I did see just the tiniest tale sticking out.  Hopefully as the weeks go on, I'll catch much more!  Stay tuned!

Sea Lions

I love seeing how much fun this group of ladies are having together!  The two new sea lions are getting along swimmingly with the other two.  😁

Canada Lynx

I was so grateful to the zoo keeper who not only noticed that I kept looking at the lynx enclosure, clearly anxious to see them out, but when she saw me in another area of the zoo, she took the time to tell me that she was almost ready to release them in their enclosure for a feeding.  This is just another example of how awesome the staff is at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo!  I really appreciate them so much!
