These babies are getting much bigger and much calmer.  They are definitely easier to photograph.  😁

 

Sitatunga Baby!!

There is a brand new little sitatunga baby and I was SO happy I was able to see it!  When it's laying down, you can barely see it above the grass.  I can't wait to see this little one grow up!  

Hyena

 This guy was having so much fun playing in the pool!  It was so interesting watching him.  He also seemed interested in watching me.  There was no one else around.  Just me and this guy.

Lion and Lioness

 I LOVE that there's a story that plays out in these pictures.  It starts with Bahati walking up to Ina as she's drinking.  It seems he's done something that he finds funny but that she finds annoying.  He finally wanders away sad while she seems grateful that he's finally gone and left her alone.  Does anyone else see this story or am I crazy??!  😂

 The morning that I took these was actually pretty chilly and very overcast.  I kept hoping the sun would come out and warm it up a bit, but that didn't happen.

Kangaroos and Joeys Part 2

 These are the last of the pictures from my day at the zoo with my mom.  We had a wonderful time!  She enjoyed seeing these joeys the most.  I don't blame her!  They are so cute!  And it's not everyday that you get to see a kangaroo that young!  So cool!  I really like the last picture of the mom hopping away while the joey is still peering out.  So adorable!!  😍

Kangaroos and Joeys Part 1

 Seeing the kangaroos with their joeys was the best part of the day for us!  The joeys were hanging their heads out and the kangaroos were hopping around a lot.  It was neat to see so much activity!

Random

 I love the zoo so much, but it was even more special to have my mom with me on this trip!  I enjoyed telling her as much as I could about all the animals.  All the little details and tidbits I've picked up over the years were interesting to her.
