Sea Life

 Last November, my husband and I were in Indy again.  I don't actually remember exactly why, but probably for him to speak at a conference.  I wasn't able to be with him, so I went to the Indy Zoo.  I didn't think it would be a good plan for a day in November, but the weather was actually really nice!  I had just been there in July, so definitely wasn't expected to go twice in a year.  But I just love going to zoos when traveling anywhere.  Anyways, I'm finally getting around to posting all of the pictures from that day.

Kangaroos and Joeys

I always enjoy spending lots of time watching and photographing the kangaroos with their joeys.  They are so entertaining and clearly have unique personalities.  I really liked seeing the adults interacting with one another.  Watching the babies play with leaves and sticks was pretty adorable as well.

Big Cats

I love photographing the big cats so much!  They are all such stunning creatures.  I love how unique their markings are.

Monkeys and Mongooses

The enclosure for the Swamp monkeys has changed from wire to glass and it is now much more difficult for me to get good pictures of them as I have to find the right angles to try to avoid reflections.  I'm honestly kind of bummed, but I'm sure the zoo had a good reason for the change.

Kangaroos with Joeys Part 2

This little joey seemed fairly comfortable outside of the pouch, enjoying the room to stretch and reach all of those itchy spots.  But then the joey's mom hopped away when it wasn't looking and it panicked when it realized it was alone and quickly hopped off after her.
