Every summer, Joe and I go on a trip to visit a zoo. Sometimes it is one we've never been to before, but sometimes it's one we haven't been to in a while. This year, we chose to go to the Cleveland Zoo, which we have previously been to, but I was so excited to be back. I didn't recognize anything since it had been so long (I think 10 years). We had a lovely time with beautiful weather. There was rain in the forecast, but every time we checked it was supposed to start later. It started lightly sprinkling when we were wrapping up. On the way out, I decided to wander through the gift shop (although I had no intention of buying anything) and then as we left, I realized I should go to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, it was pouring rain. I walked as quickly as I could to the car getting pretty dang wet by the time I got inside and quickly drove to pick up Joe who was soaked.
I liked that as soon as we got through the entrance to the zoo, we very quickly saw the elephants. The keepers had them pass from one area to another and then had them doing tricks for treats. It was interesting to watch.
