Prairie Dog

The zoo has had this exhibit for as long as I can remember.  I vaguely remember when I was much younger, that you could see lots of prairie dogs scurrying throughout this area.  But in the years since, I thought it was just an empty exhibit.  That is until recently when I was there.  I happened to look over and something caught my eye.  There is still at least one chubby prairie dog living in the zoo's exhibit!  :)

Binturong

I don't know very much at all about these animals, but I was pretty excited to see one awake!  Normally they are curled up sleeping and I can't see them very well.  They actually have a pretty cute face!  :)

Kangaroos

Kangaroos are pretty neat!  Although it does seem like every time I see them at the zoo, they are just laying around only half awake.  :)

Red Panda

I seriously think that Red Pandas are so cute!!  I can't wait to see how much the little baby at the zoo has grown!  :)

Banded Mongoose

I just love that these mongooses look like it was a really long night.  The one in the middle looks as if he is still drunk.  Haha :)

This guy looks like he is dealing with a severe case of the "Mondays".  Hahaha  :)

Lazy Cheetahs

I have already posted quite a lot of pictures of Cheetahs on here (if you missed them, they are three February 2014 Caturday posts), so here is a picture of the Cheetahs being lazy.  :)

Dingoes

I am following up the African Painted Dogs with Dingoes.  These dogs look so much like your typical pet, but once again, I wouldn't want a Dingo in my house.  :)

African Painted Dogs Sleeping

I love the markings on these dogs, but I don't think I would want them as a pet....  I will stick with my favorite breed: Border Collies.  :)

Zebra

I tend to walk past Zebras at zoos in order to get to the more "exciting" animals, but I am glad that I stopped to watch and photograph them for a bit.  They are so unique even if they are "boring".  :)

Baby Wildebeest with Mother

I really enjoyed watching this baby wildebeest with his mother!  He has such wobbly and knobbly legs!  I thought it was brilliant when he finally laid down to eat instead of being up on his little legs.  :)
