This was such a nice day and the animals seemed to like a bit of a break in the heat. They seemed to be more active. I do love going to the zoo in the fall, not just because of the pretty colors of the changing leaves, but also because of the cooler weather making animals more active than they are during the summer.
This was a rare week where I went to the zoo twice, but it was because we were invited by my brother and sister-in-law. We had a good time and it was nice to not be by myself, although I like that too. The red pandas were being ridiculously cute as they ran around and played together. We suspected that they had switched enclosures and that's why they were being so much more active and interested in exploring.
They guys have gotten so big and are much less rambunctious than they used to be. They seem way more interested in watching people now. I enjoyed watching them as they watched me. They are so cute even though they are very disproportional.
I had the aquarium to myself so I was able to get the space I needed to step back and get pictures of the sharks. I really do enjoy watching them!
It's been difficult getting pictures of Raya. Tara often has her tucked behind the big tree where it's hard to get a clear angle to see her. Plus the glass is thick so the pictures are often distorted. But I got some. She's so stinking cute!
I was happy to see this little guy. He's not that 'new' anymore, but I haven't seen him much yet. He sure is cute! He still has that 'baby face' even if he isn't considered a baby anymore.
