Black-Tailed Prairie Dogs

This next couple weeks will all be pictures that I took at Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend.  I have to say, I spent a long time watching these Prairie Dogs, because I love them so much!  I think this guy was being a sentinel, but the way he was standing reminded me of what I look like after painting my nails and trying not to mess them up while carefully checking to see if they are dry yet.  Hahaha!  :)

Cockatiels

The bird house was also home to cockatiels!  They were pretty and very active!  My sister-in-law brought a stick with food on it and "caught" a cockatiel.  :)

Brown Bear

These are more pictures from the Washington Park Zoo in Michigan city!  I was able to see this big brown bear walking around his enclosure!  He was huge!  I was pretty mesmerized by him!  :)

Tigers

This beauty was sleeping for a while in the morning until he heard his breakfast coming.  He woke up really quickly!  Haha!  :)

Bobcat

Caturday should be everyday because there are so many awesome big cats!  I really like this beautiful Bobcat!  :)

Unusual Peacock

It seems like ever zoo has a bunch of peacocks that wander around throughout the place.  I always enjoy seeing them, especially when they spread their feathers.  I am used to seeing the blue and green peacocks and I have even grown accustomed to the all white ones.  However, I have never seen a peacock that is a mixture of the two the way this one was!  I really love the markings and coloration of this peacock!  What a beauty!  :)

Eagles Again

I know it is difficult to get a sense of how big Eagles are from just seeing pictures, but I am telling you, these are some intimidating birds!  Their beaks and falcons are huge, their eyes are intense, and their wing span is very impressive!  They are majestic creatures, and I felt very patriotic just looking at them!  Haha!  :)
