Monkeys and Red Panda

I don't really know what the names are of these various different monkeys, but I enjoyed seeing all of them!  They are all so unique in their markings and behaviors!  I also caught a red panda sneaking up a tree like a monkey so I decided to throw that picture in this group.  :)

Baby Monkey Playing with Mother

I was very patient and waited for the crowds to disperse so that I could get these pictures of the mother snow monkey with her little girl as they were waiting their turn to go into a little room with a computer screen.  They seemed to be taking a test of some sort because a person dropped food through a tube to them after the monkey touched the screen.  It was neat to watch, but I mainly focused on this little baby girl.  :)

Monkey

This beautiful snow monkey was wandering through the enclosure.  He seemed to be looking for something or maybe someone.  I was shocked when he looked straight at me.  He is stunning!

Nursing Baby Monkey

I seriously freaked out when I saw this little baby snow monkey!  She had the brightest, prettiest eyes!  Her and her mother were sitting just a few feet away from the glass!  I wasn't able to get many pictures because a crowd had gathered and kids kept stepping in front of me in their excitement to see the little baby.  I don't really blame them, but I do wish I had more pictures of this pretty little girl!  :)

Jaguar

I think one of the reasons I really loved going to Lincoln Park Zoo so much is that they have so many big cats!  I love all cats, but I am really captivated by big cats!  This Jaguar was intently watching something in the distance.  Those big teeth are a quick reminder of the strength these beautiful creatures have!

Wolves

I really really really love wolves!  They are so elusive and cunning!  I love that they are like dogs, but so much more fierce and wild.  I was so captivated watching this enclosure to catch even just a glimpse of these wonderful animals!

Pig

So just like the Rhino yesterday, I felt that this pig looked like some ancient creature whose drawing is carved into cave walls.  Haha!  Seriously though, I didn't know that pigs could be so hairy!  I actually thought he was pretty cute.  :)

Rhinos

I have always thought that Rhinos are such weird looking creatures.  They look like something that came from ancient times with their wrinkly skin.  I do like watching them though.  Their size is so impressive!

Otter

I LOVE otters!  They are just too cute!  We spent a lot of time watching this otter swim and play while the other one slept.  :)

Beaver

So, I know I said on Wednesday that I would be posting pictures from a new zoo the next day, but that obviously didn't happen!  Haha!  I have been so busy with my puppy!  Anyways, over the summer, I had the opportunity to go to Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago!  It was amazing and we had a wonderful time!  I was able to take a LOT of pictures, so I will be posting these pictures for a while!  I hope you enjoy them!  

I don't think I had ever seen a beaver before catching a glimpse of this one at the zoo!  So neat!  :)
