Saki Monkeys and More

The White-faced Saki Monkeys got a brand new, beautiful, spacious enclosure.  I like that they are behind glass as that is generally easier to photograph, but there are sometimes issues with reflections.  They both seemed to really enjoy exploring their new home.

 

Australian Adventure

 I stopped by the aquarium on my second zoo trip.  It looked the same and of course I had to capture the beauty of the sharks.  I didn't stay as long as I thought I might because there were screaming kids which seemed to be amplified by the fact its such a small, dark space to be in.  I'm actually pretty good at blocking out noise and even stuff going on around me, but I was pulled out of it when a kid stepped into my shot so I relocated, but it happened again, so I left.  I really didn't mind too much because I wanted to get home anyways and with my pass, I'll be back there very soon again.  I have been shocked at the shear number of school buses there the first two times I went.  But again, we have an awesome zoo and I am glad that others recognize that and want to be there too to support it.  😊

African Journey

 I was so excited to see a new enclosure for the Saki monkeys and agouti.  There were humans working on it, but I did spot this guy in there with them.  I'm still quite sad that the lemurs are gone.  I spent all of last season in denial about it.  I hope we can get more again because I always loved the lemurs so much.

Farm Animals and More

The new goats are super cute.  They looked pretty worn out though and it was only like 10 AM.  I think they hadn't quite adjusted to the zoo being open for the season.  😂 

Hyenas and Monkeys

 I was so glad that I could witness the hyenas having fun with an ice treat.  It was nice to see them both up moving around instead of already napping in their log.
