The Birds

 The birds are back!  I've been enjoying seeing them again after they were kept away for so long.  But I'll admit that I definitely had forgotten how much the penguins stink until I walked by them and the wind blew the stench in my face.  Hahaha!

Random

 Aren't otters such majestic creatures?!!?  😂  But seriously, these guys have my heart.  I adore witnessing all of their oddities and shenanigans.  

Serval

I love all of the big cats!  They are just so pretty and elegant!  I especially had fun watching Charlie, the serval, for a while.  He seems like a cool cat.  😁

Monkeys

I really like the new enclosure for the Saki monkeys!  As far as I can tell, they really like it too!  They always seem to be goofing around whenever I see them.  They are pretty cool monkeys.

The Birds are Back!

Each summer my husband joins me for one or two trips to the zoo.  This year, he only made it once, but we were able to go on my birthday.  The weather was beautiful!  It was such a good visit.  More and more birds were finally back out in the zoo as the worry of avian flu has been subsiding.  I didn't realize how much I had missed them, but it sure was nice to see them again!  There were quite a few birds that are still being kept inside, but they are slowly coming out as well.

I am finally getting back to posting pictures from the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, so get ready for more posts!  These pictures were from a trip with my sister and nieces.  I didn't take very many pictures as I was focused just as much on the girls as the animals.  We had a wonderful time together!
