River Otter

I'm gonna do all the blogging today!  I have SO many pictures to share from this past season at the zoo.  Let's kick this off with a cute river otter.  😊

 

Clouded Leopard

I finally caught Sanji awake!  He quickly hopped onto this branch and spent a while rubbing the tree.  Then he watched me and the couple of other people that were watching him.  He is such a beautiful cat!

Lions

 Bahati kept pausing while surveying his territory.  I think he was just posing for pictures.  Haha!  He really has grown up into such a majestic cat!

Hyenas and More

I like when I catch the hyenas up and interacting with each other.  I'm definitely hoping to see some pups sometime in the near future!

 

African Journey

The African Journey is probably the area of the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo that I visit the most.  I love getting the chance to see the Lions, Serval, and Amur Leopard in action.  And even if I catch the big cats taking a cat nap, there are plenty of monkeys, wildebeest, zebra, and other animals to observe as they are almost always awake and up to something.

Birds

 I am often amazed at the variety of colors, sizes, and shapes that can be observed in birds especially when you compare birds that originate from different parts of the world.  There is so much diversity!

Orangutan

I LOVED watching these Orangutans as they worked out how to get a tasty treat from these bamboo shoots.  Asmara seemed more comfortable watching her dad than trying it out for herself.  Maybe some day she'll figure it out.  😊
