Ober Gatlinburg Wildlife Encounter

I truthfully can't remember if I am posting these pictures from our vacation in the right order of when they were taken or not, but that really doesn't actually matter.  These pictures are all from Ober Gatlinburg Wildlife Encounter.  We didn't spend very long there at all because it started raining pretty hard, and I didn't want to get my camera wet.  I was able to get quite a few pictures of the bears before the rain started.  I especially liked the bear with the coconut.  That bear did NOT want to share, so every time the other one got near, he grabbed the coconut and ran away.  It was cute watching him roll the coconut around trying to break it open.  I also enjoyed watching some of the bears swim.  The rain started before I got to see the otters, so there aren't many pictures, but I was able to get some while they were being fed, which was quite entertaining to watch.

Ripley's Aquarium

My family took at week long vacation to Townsend, TN this past July.  I am a little late getting these pictures posted, but prepare yourselves for lots of new posts!  To start with, I have a handful of pictures I got from Ripley's Aquarium.  I seriously enjoyed it SO much!  I didn't take a lot of pictures though.  Most of what I have are videos on my cell phone.  I was especially amazed to see a sea turtle!  It was so fascinating to watch!

I could stare at this beauty all day long!!

This big guy has grown quite the mane compared to what he was sporting last year!  He looks much more intimidating than he used to.

I seriously love big cats!  I love that it can be easy to recognize similarities between a lion and a house-cat.  For example, with a quick glance, the first and last picture look the same.  However, upon closer inspection, you may notice the change of expression that goes from merely watching to peaked interest.

Wildebeest and Zebra

I used to walk by the wildebeest and zebras and not stop to take pictures.  Recently, I have decided to slow down and take more time.  I've been liking these results!

Prairie Dog

I have always enjoyed watching prairie dogs because they are just so cute!

Sleepy Animals

These hyenas and the owl weren't interested in waking up.  I think it was the heat, but it could be that they are just lazy.  :)

Monkeys

It's been a while since I have taken pictures of these monkeys.  However, I am always trying to improve even upon pictures I really like, so it's always worth taking new ones.  And in case you hadn't noticed, there is a baby swamp monkey clinging to its mom to nurse, so obviously I wanted to take lots of pictures of this newest addition.
